I have been so caught up waiting for Google Voice to come to Canada, I had given up on looking for alternatives. I got my freephoneline number up and running in 10 minutes, and it is proving to be a capable and robust system. I can't believe it's free! On another note, I'll be getting my first mobile phone this month, when the iPhone 4 launches in Canada. I am pretty confidant I'll be giving out the FPL number instead, and forwarding calls to home AND mobile with the FollowMe feature. Hopefully the My5 options will continue to be available, so all incoming calls will be free! Thanks Alex, great article and good suggestions.
